Central Sterile Technician

Responsible for performing sterilization procedures on medical instruments and equipment in accordance with established procedures and infection control standards. Processes specialty and general instruments. Resets instrument sets without error. Decontaminates instruments and equipment according to procedure. Maintains stock levels in the Central Sterile Department. Prepares and assembles surgical trays and equipment following established tray listings for issue, storage, or further processing. Communicates instrument repair needs to supervisor.
