Account Manager - Specialty Chemicals - Personal Care & Industrial Markets (HI&I, CASE, etc.) Southeast or Midsouth Regions

North American raw material specialty chemical supplier is looking to fill an Account Manager position located somewhere in the Southeast or Midsouth (GA, NC, TX, or adjacent States).  Atlanta, Dallas, and Charlotte are good locations.  This is a sales position focused on selling raw material specialty chemicals to the Personal Care & Industrial markets in the Southeast and/or Midsouth regions. It’s a home-based sales role, traveling daily into the territory to visit customers. This is an excellent opportunity to join an entrepreneurial company with a broad product portfolio focused largely for the Personal Care Markets, but also for the industrial markets (HI&I, CASE, etc.). It’s also a solid income opportunity. The overnight travel should be ~30%.

Responsibilities:  Sell a broad range of raw material specialty chemicals to the Personal Care & Industrial markets in the region.  The product lines are for the most part functional specialties, silicones, surfactants, emollients, antioxidants, waxes, oils, Etc.  Call on an existing account base in the region, as well as new prospective accounts.  This is in-person selling, calling on labs, formulators, chemists, and purchasing.  Develop strong customer relationships and strive to establishing yourself as a “subject matter” expert.  Always be striving for new business opportunities.  Develop the territory strategy and execute the plan.  Communicate effectively with all internal departments, suppliers, and senior leadership. Travel overnight as needed.

Requirements: 5+ years of experience selling raw material chemicals to the personal care and/or industrial markets.  A bachelor’s degree is required but the concentration is open.  A science degree like chemistry or biology is preferred.  High energy, and self-motivated seller, with proven success.  Willingness to travel overnight as needed.
