About the Role
The Company is seeking an Associate Vice President for Student Success to provide visionary leadership and strategic direction in advancing student success. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing a broad portfolio of student-focused departments and initiatives, with a special emphasis on historically low-income, first-generation, underrepresented, and student-athlete populations. This role involves guiding the development and implementation of student success plans, ensuring alignment with institutional and systemwide strategic goals, and fostering a coordinated, student-centered approach to success. The Associate Vice President will also be tasked with building strategic partnerships, both within the university and with external organizations, to support innovation and resource alignment. Candidates for this position at The Company should have a Bachelor's degree in a related field, with a preference for a doctorate, and a minimum of 7 years' professional experience in student success or a related area. The role requires a strong commitment to equity, inclusion, and social justice, as well as the ability to lead with cultural competence and emotional intelligence. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in program administration, assessment, and improvement within higher education, and be adept at managing multiple high-level initiatives. Skills in budget management, strategic planning, and the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders are essential. The Associate Vice President will also be expected to have excellent communication skills, the ability to prepare and deliver professional-level presentations, and a sound understanding of university policies and regulatory frameworks.
