Registered Nurse - General Adult Unit

Schedule: 36 hours weekly, 7:00pm to 7:00am with rotating weekends | Job Location Type: In Person The General Adult Unit is specially designed for the treatment of adults 18 and older who are experiencing a variety of mental health diagnoses. Our team provides crisis stabilization services with a goal of moving patients to a less-intensive level of care as soon as is safe to do so. What to expect As a Registered Nurse/RN you will: Perform a full range of professional psychiatric nursing services, including assessing, planning, administering, and evaluating patient care in accordance with team treatment plans. Administer medical treatment as prescribed by physician. Teach and provide psychosocial support to patients and their families. Provide day-to-day clinical direction to assigned Mental Health Workers or other paraprofessional staff. Document and report patient progress to treatment team. Pay for this position is determined on a number of factors, including but not limited to, years and level of related experience as a registered nurse. What we need from you Must possess a current license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Maryland (or compact state) at time of appointment and continuously while in position. Experience in a psychiatric nursing setting preferred. All new clinical staff will begin their extended clinical orientation/training immediately following your first day of employment.
