To learn more about UCI Health, visit Responsibilities Position Summary: As an Admitting Representative responsibilities include interviewingand gathering complete and accurate demographic and insurance information tocomplete the registration process efficiently and expeditiously. Obtains authorizationsand collects appropriate monies on cash accounts or accounts identified with deductibleamounts due. Completes the Admitting packets with all appropriate forms for thedepartment. Obtains appropriate signatures on all registration forms, and scans theappropriate forms. Completes insurance verification on accounts via data validation orpassport, and breaks down charts for the appropriate departments. Qualifications Required Qualifications: Previous acute care hospital or related experience Preferred Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent Knowledge in Medical Terminology Previous Admitting registration or Business Office experience Previous Customer Service experience Computer and typing skills Physical Requirements: Hearing and visual acuity Manual dexterity to perform keyboard functions Able to push wheelchairs Able to lift 25 pounds Total Rewards We offer a wealth of benefits to make working at UCI even more rewarding.
