About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP, Capital Markets Operations to play a pivotal role in the organization's mission to simplify the mortgage industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for owning the pricing strategy, lock desk, secondary marketing, and post-closing/shipping processes, ensuring that the team operates with an ownership mindset and a commitment to both compliance and the client experience. This leadership position demands a professional who can translate market complexity into clear strategies, lead and develop teams, and be the single point of accountability for the seamless movement of loans from lock to purchase. The role requires a deep understanding of mortgage capital markets, secondary marketing, and related operations, with a focus on pricing and hedging decisions that impact the bottom line. Applicants for the VP, Capital Markets Operations role at the company should have a minimum of 7 years' experience in mortgage capital markets, secondary marketing, or related operations, with a proven track record in at least two of the four functional areas. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pricing strategy or hedging execution within a production mortgage environment, as well as experience in leading and developing teams. A working knowledge of investor guidelines and loan-level pricing mechanics is essential. The role also calls for a leader who can effectively partner with cross-functional teams and represent capital markets in company-wide planning and risk conversations. A preference is given to candidates with experience in a digital lending environment and a background in standing up or upleveling a combined capital markets/operations function.
