About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP for Capital Markets Operations to play a pivotal role in the organization's mission to simplify the mortgage industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for owning the pricing strategy, lock desk, secondary marketing, and post-closing/shipping processes, ensuring that the company's promise of a seamless and efficient mortgage experience is upheld. This leadership position demands a professional with a strong background in mortgage capital markets, secondary marketing, or related operations, and a proven track record in at least two of the four functional areas. The VP will be expected to lead a team with an ownership mindset, making critical decisions that impact the company's bottom line, and fostering a culture of compliance and a superior client experience. Applicants for the VP role at the company should have a minimum of 7 years' experience in the relevant fields, with a clear demonstration of leadership and ownership in a production mortgage environment. The role requires a deep understanding of pricing strategy, hedging execution, and investor guidelines. The ideal candidate will have a background in direct-to-consumer or high-volume digital lending and be adept at translating market complexity into clear, actionable strategies. Success in this position is defined by the ability to keep pricing competitive, maintain strong relationships with investors, and ensure that the post-closing and shipping processes are efficient and error-free. The VP will also be responsible for cross-functional leadership, partnering with various teams to address company-wide issues and represent the capital markets and secondary operations in strategic planning and risk conversations.
