The Gardens at Gettysburg, a skilled nursing facility in Gettysburg, PA, is hiring dependable team members to join our Dietary Department. If you enjoy working in a kitchen, supporting seniors, and being part of a collaborative team, we want to hear from you!

Available Positions

• Morning Cook – Full-Time

• Dietary Aide – Full-Time & Part-Time

• Prep Cook – Every Weekend

We are primarily seeking coverage for morning shifts , with afternoon hours also available.

Shift Options

• 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM

• Morning shifts available based on position

Morning Cook Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and dietary needs

• Follow standardized recipes, special diet orders, and proper portion control

• Ensure meals are prepared and served in a timely manner

• Maintain food safety and sanitation standards

• Assist with kitchen cleanup and organization

• Maintain kitchen equipment and work areas in a clean and sanitary condition

Prep Cook Responsibilities

• Assist with prepping and cooking meals based on menus and dietary needs

• Follow standardized recipes and proper portion control

• Keep kitchen areas clean, organized, and compliant with food safety standards

• Support the cooks and dietary team with various kitchen tasks

• Assist with meal preparation and service as needed

Dietary Aide Responsibilities

• Assist with basic food preparation and tray assembly

• Serve meals in the dining area or deliver trays to residents

• Clean dishes, prep stations, and kitchen equipment

• Help maintain a safe and sanitary kitchen environment

• Assist the dietary team with meal service and other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

• Prior experience in a healthcare, school, dietary, or food service setting is a plus

• Must be 18 years or older

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment

• Dependable and committed to providing quality service to residents
