Manufacturing Engineer 3Acting as a lead, provides significant expertise on a variety of complex manufacturing issues to increase capabilities to produce new and existing Axillon products. Directly impacts all aspects of safety, quality, delivery, cost, and innovation, as well as the sustainability and growth efforts of operations.Acts as a lead, providing advanced expertise on a variety of complex manufacturing issues to increase capabilities to produce new and existing Axillon products.Designs, improves, and installs integrated systems, procedures, and processes in the introduction of new products to the manufacturing and supply chain environment. Establishes and maintains labor standards to monitor direct/indirect labor and machine performanceCoordinates all phases of cost reduction to improve manufacturing profits. Forecasts labor and equipment requirements to ensure adequate equipment, machine, and labor capacity. Provides objective functional and financial engineering guidance on capital expenditures to division management and follows up on implementation processOther responsibilities as assignedMinimum QualificationsEducation Level: (Required): Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience(Preferred): Master's Degree in Engineering or equivalent experienceField of Study/Area of Experience: 5+ years of experience. 6 Sigma/Lean professional certification a plusSkills, Knowledge and Abilities ListDemonstrated expertise with complex mechanical engineering solutions, and concepts of engineering (mechanics, kinematics, thermodynamics, materials science, structural analysis, and electricity)Excellent ability to apply a systematic, disciplined, and analytical approach to problem solvingProficient knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma or other continuous improvementAdvanced knowledge of data structures and database programmingAbility to improve products or services by applying professional and business knowledgeAbility to explain a range of complex technical informationAbility to use existing procedures to solve problemsAbility to research and analyze data effectivelyAbility to gather data, to compile information, and prepare reportsStrong verbal and written communication skillsWell-organized, detail-oriented, and ability to multi-taskStrong prioritization skillsStrong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and web-browsersManufacturing / Non-Sedentary RequirementsIncumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work may be performed in an office or warehouse environment.
