It’s important to constantly challenge your knowledge and step out of your comfort zone.\" Peggy Focheux Duval: Director of Learning & Development, France To be committed and dedicate time, effort and attention to offer a room product, which in quality, presentation and cleanliness reflects the vision and brand personality of the hotel Management Responsibilities 1.Ensure that all decisions taken by the Executive Committee are fully implemented in the overall Housekeeping Department, participate and make suggestions for the decision taking of the Executive Committee. 2.Responsible for ensuring the implementation of the hotel vision in the Housekeeping Department and implementation of the regular business action plans. 3.Ensure that the staff in the Housekeeping Department adheres to all policies, procedures and rules set by the management. 4.Ensure effective communication between Housekeeping and other departments. General Responsibilities 1.Build teamwork and enhance the team’s commitment to their work and the hotel. 2.Delegate appropriate responsibility to others based on their ability whilst ensuring they have sufficient authority and resources. 3.Achieve a record of success in recruiting, interviewing and hiring people.(\"Getting the right person in the right job\") 4.Communicate the vision and brand personality to the team and ensure it is integrated in the department’s business practices. 5.Actively and successfully train people for current assignments and future growth. 6.Set and communicate high performance standards. 7.Recognize outstanding individual performance in the department and deal with substandard performance fairly, immediately and constructively. 8.Ensure all employees under your supervision are scheduled in accordance with business needs. Budgeting and Finance 1.Prepare the annual business plan for the department. 2.Monitor the department’s budget and proactively implement corrective action where necessary. 3.Control cost whilst ensuring guests get value for money. Communication 1.Communicate effectively within the organization at all levels using the most appropriate communication method for the matter concerned. 2.Conduct regular brief, concise, well-prepared departmental meetings and ensure follow-up. Other 1.Adjust to changes in job requirements and the hotel’s operational strategies to meet business needs. 2.Maintain an efficient and effective administrative system. 3.Continue the professional development by self-directed learning and participation in company sponsored training programs. 4.Keep abreast of developments affecting your field of expertise. 5.Involve in making effort of Earth Check branded hotel for Alila Villas Uluwatu Technical Expertise 1.Work closely with Engineering to implement an effective preventative maintenance system 2.Control consumption and maintain a cost-effective inventory of guest supplies, chemicals and amenities. 3.Ensure all linen and uniforms are well maintained. 4.Ensure all HK staff work in accordance with health and safety regulations. 5.Ensure proper arrangement and maintenance of flowers and plants in the guest rooms and public areas. 6.Plan and implement regular general cleaning programs. 7. Implement an effective energy conservation program within the departments and areas under your supervision in coordination with Engineering. 8. Ensure that all safety rules, emergency procedures and fire prevention regulation are strictly enforced by the employees. 9. Identify and plan FF&E and OE for replacement in the areas under your supervision. 10. Assist department concerned in the planning and implementing the hotel’s rehabilitations plans as appropriate. 11. Coordinate daily room and public areas cleaning priorities. 12. Conduct periodic inspections of entire hotel area to check the cleaning standard. Qualifications 6 –10 years of housekeeping experience in luxury hotels Minimum 3 years of management or supervisory leadership experience Proven experience managing and developing housekeeping teams Strong knowledge of luxury cleaning, laundry, linen, wardrobe, and garment-care standards Experience developing SOPs, schedules, checklists, and quality-control systems Private-household experience is highly advantageous Five-star luxury hotel or high-end residential experience is preferred UAE or GCC experience is an advantage Diploma or degree in Hospitality, Housekeeping, Hotel Management, or a related discipline is preferred Must be professional, discreet, proactive, trustworthy, organized, and detail-oriented Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort and Spa | Rio Rancho , NM , US Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort and Spa | San Antonio , TX , US Our family is always growing.
