Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) Starting Salary: $65,239 - $94,567 annually IA Stipend: 2,080 Sign-On Bonus: 12,500 Location: Lady Lake, FL Job Description We’re hiring an Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) responsible for the overall maintenance and safety of our fleet within Med-Trans. This technician will be qualified to support our Bell 407 airframe. This key role ensures our team can safely maintain and deliver timely, high‑quality transportation services, care and customer service to patients. Responsibilities Perform mechanical inspections, screenings, repairs and provide regular status updates to the Lead Technician. Manage inventory checks, update the equipment tracking log, place replacement requests and document part expenditures. Document service paperwork and FAA information as required, adhering to policies and compliance with the company’s information security standards. Maintain a safe and clean working environment for the aircraft maintenance team and flight crew. Use appropriate communication methods to facilitate coordination between departments, vendors and team members. Work collaboratively and professionally with allied health and public safety personnel, fellow AMTs and operations team. Minimum Required Qualifications Bell 407 maintenance experience. Three (3) years of turbine helicopter maintenance experience with a minimum of six months helicopter maintenance experience during the last 24 months. Valid Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license. Valid state‑issued driver’s license. High school diploma or GED equivalent. Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations. Experience with EMS systems, aircraft maintenance systems, records and maintenance support and planning. Must live within an hour of base. Must be acceptable in accordance with the FAA drug and alcohol testing program. Must be able to push and/or pull 100+ lbs. Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs. Preferred Qualifications FAA Inspection Authorization Certification. Related experience under CFR Part 135. Autopilot maintenance experience. Avionics and electrical repair experience.
