Centralus Health is central to wellness-for all of us.A Patient Service Representative needs to have strong organizational skills along with the ability to think on their feet when faced with new situations that arise throughout each day within a professional medical environment.Roles and Responsibilities:Patient intake, such as greeting and check-in patients/verifying/updating patient demographicsAssist patients with filling out consent formsReceive and process cash and credit card payments for medical services renderedInitiate calls, pages, and triage phone calls. Assists in admissions, discharges, transfers and fulfills other customer service or clerical dutiesRequired Skills and Experience:High school diploma or equivalentProfessional manner and appearanceStrong interpersonal and communication skillsMeticulous attention to detailAbility to work independentlyPreferred Skills and Experience:Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook)Knowledge of medical terms and practices preferredPhysical Requirements:80% standing 20% sitting Location and Travel Requirements:Location: Onsite at Cayuga Medical Center- 101 Dates Drive Ithaca NY 14850Shift: Schedule DetailsFlex Hours: Shifts will range between mainly 3 PM and 7 AM.(MUST be able to flex to all these shifts below)Typical Shifts selections:10:45 AM - 11 PM (occasional shift)10:45 AM - 7 PM (Rare shift)2:45 PM - 11 PM10:45 PM - 7 AM6:45 PM - 7 AMShift Structure:Two 8-hour shifts and two 12-hour shifts per week, offering three days off a week. (this will likely not be in a row) We will TRY to offer 3-12 hours shifts a week if staffing allows.Additional InformationWeekends and Holidays:The position includes rotating holidays and every other weekend.
