Long-Term Substitute Math Teacher Needed
Location: Hinesburg Community School This position will remain open until filled. Hinesburg Community School (HCS) is seeking a Long-Term Substitute Math Teacher. The position begins August 31 and lasts through the end of December. Work will be intermittent. A middle level endorsement in math is required for this position.

Primary Responsibilities
- Provide middle school math instruction (grades 6-8) aligned with Common Core Standards.
- Integrate science concepts into the math curriculum.
- Utilize Proficiency-Based Learning and formative assessment practices to assess student progress.
- Use technology and data to inform instruction and create a responsive learning environment.
- Implement equitable classroom practices, including culturally responsive teaching and anti-bias/anti-racist approaches.
- Apply Responsive Classroom, PBIS, and behavior management strategies.
- Maintain regular communication with families and provide differentiated instruction.
- A required middle level endorsement in math.
- High skill in middle school math instruction and experience with science integration.
- Strong understanding of middle school students' development.
- Exceptional organization, flexibility, and ability to work collaboratively.
- Excellent communication skills and relationship-building abilities with students.
- Proficiency in creating an inclusive, data-driven learning environment.
