Purchasing Coordinator (Acoustic Tiles)The Purchasing Coordinator (Acoustic Tiles) supports procurement and inventory operations by managing purchase orders, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring timely and cost-effective replenishment of materials. This role plays a key part in maintaining product availability, supporting sales and operations, and ensuring accurate inventory management. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Process, track, and confirm purchase orders with vendorsCoordinate delivery schedules and follow up to ensure on-time arrivalsCompare vendor pricing, freight rates, and availability to support cost-effective purchasing decisionsBuild and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliersMonitor inventory levels and support replenishment planningVerify incoming shipments against purchase orders for accuracyAssist with cycle counts and physical inventory processesMaintain accurate inventory records using internal systemsServe as a liaison between purchasing, sales, operations, and logistics teamsCommunicate delivery timelines, product availability, and order statusSupport material transfers between locations as neededAssist warehouse teams with inventory systems and reconciliation processesProvide timely and professional communication with internal and external stakeholdersSupport resolution of order issues, delays, or discrepanciesAssist in maintaining a high level of customer service and satisfactionFollow company policies, procedures, and safety standardsIdentify opportunities to improve purchasing processes and efficiencyStay informed on market trends, product availability, and pricing changesShare knowledge and contribute to a collaborative team environmentPerform additional duties and special projects as assignedWhat you'll bring:Strong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlinesEffective communication and interpersonal skillsBasic math and analytical skills for pricing and inventory trackingAbility to work independently and collaborativelyExperience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain operationsExperience with the acoustic tile industry preferredFamiliarity with inventory management systems or WMS platformsExperience in distribution, construction, or building materials industryProficiency in Microsoft Office or similar business toolsComfortability with primarily working office-based with interaction across warehouse and operations teamsAbility to sit, stand, and work at a computer for extended periodsAbility to occasionally support in warehouse or inventory environmentsAbility to occasionally work extended hours based on business needsWhat you'll earnHealth Care BenefitsPaid Time OffQXO is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
