Developmental Behavioral Pediatrician

Position Overview The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, affiliated with NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst, is seeking a full‑time Developmental Behavioral Pediatrician. The role is located in the Division of Ambulatory Pediatrics, one of the busiest pediatric departments in the system, serving over 10,000 patients annually and acting as a regional referral center for developmental pediatrics. Key Responsibilities Provide outpatient clinical care for developmental behavioral conditions, including attention‑deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism spectrum disorder (ASD), learning disabilities, emotional disorders, intellectual disability, and related needs. Educate and supervise medical students and residents through clinical mentorship, didactic teaching, and guest lectures. Participate in curriculum development, quality improvement (QI) initiatives, and research activities to enhance clinical practice and expand research skills. Serve a diverse, underserved population, including low‑Socio‑Economic Status (SES) and immigrant families, ensuring equitable care. Qualifications Board‑eligible or board‑certified in Pediatrics. Clinical experience in inpatient pediatrics and/or experience as a pediatric hospitalist. Valid New York State medical license and DEA registration. Proficiency in working with ethnically diverse urban populations and an interest in ongoing professional development. Compensation & Benefits Annual salary range $180,000–$185,000, plus benefits and faculty practice distribution throughout the academic year. Faculty appointment will be commensurate with credentials, experience, and qualifications.
