INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SUPERVISOR (S&WB) (C0180)

Responsibilities Overall management and administration of computer networks and systems unique to the Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans. Provide technical computer expertise for Sewerage and Water Board users in relation to hardware, software, and network activities. Coordinate with vendors and contractors and offer technical assistance for problem solving. Develop budgets, monitor fiscal management and reporting. Prepare technical bid and RFP specifications for hardware, software, and personal services. Perform related duties as required. Work a fixed or rotating shift, including Saturdays and emergencies, as required due to the essential nature of the position. Qualifications Either: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Geographic Information Systems, telecommunications, or a closely related field and at least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in a technical environment covering web development, budget development and management, procurement management for organization‑wide IT, drafting technical bids and RFP specifications for hardware, software, and personal services, and monitoring and reporting. Or: 9 years of progressively responsible experience in a technical environment covering the same areas outlined above.
