Job Opportunity: Neurologist in Epilepsy Division

The Department of Neurology at our organization is on the lookout for Board Certified or Board Eligible Neurologists to enhance our expanding Epilepsy Division, which currently includes four neurologists.

As the sole academic medical center in northeastern New York, we are a private, non-profit entity dedicated to serving over 3 million individuals. Our Neurology Department features well-established programs in:

• General Neurology
• Epilepsy
• Dementia / Cognitive Neurology
• Movement Disorders
• Neuromuscular Disorders
• Pediatric Neurology
• Pain and Headache Management
• Stroke
• Neurocritical Care
• Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R)

Position Highlights

• Deliver patient care in a collaborative setting with both general and specialized neurology colleagues.
• Instruct and mentor medical students, residents, advanced practice providers, and fellows.
• Conduct and analyze EEG/cEEG/aEEG studies.
• Oversee patients in a 12-bed Epilepsy Monitoring Unit for both adults and children.
• Engage in a robust Epilepsy Surgery Program.
• Explore abundant opportunities for bench or clinical research.
• Enjoy an academic appointment at the Assistant or Associate Professor level, contingent on qualifications and experience, while maintaining a balanced work-life future.

Qualifications

• MD/DO or equivalent with board certification in Neurology.
• Completion of a certified Clinical Neurophysiology Fellowship.
• Possession of an active and unrestricted medical license or eligibility for licensure in New York State.
• A strong passion for education and mentorship.
