Accountant

Overview Jefferson Wells is looking to network with Accounting Professionals who are available for contract/consulting jobs. Most of these projects are remote, some hybrid and local to the metro Philadelphia market. Compensation W2 hourly based on experience and client requirements: $50 – $85 hr Responsibilities Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close. Organize and update financial records as needed. Analyze transactions and prepare reports. Perform regular, detailed audits to ensure accuracy in financial documents, expenditures, and investments. Forecast revenue and analyze profit margins. Oversee ledger reconciliation and manage accounts payable/receivable. Participate in budgeting processes. Brief senior managers regularly on the company’s financial status. Liaise with Tax Accountants to track tax payments and returns. Requirements BS degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA certification preferred. Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Experience with accounting software/ERP systems (SAP and NetSuite preferred). Advanced MS Excel knowledge (experience with formulas, VLOOKUPs and pivot tables).
