Job Description
This role focuses on completing Garmin avionics installation projects on three aircraft, including a full panel upgrade and engine instrumentation updates. When project work slows, you also support standard maintenance activities across the fleet, ensuring reliable and safe operation of all aircraft systems.
Responsibilities

• Complete Garmin avionics installation projects on three aircraft for a local customer.
• Perform a full Garmin panel upgrade on a Cessna 550, including removing existing components and installing new Garmin avionics.
• Gut the existing instrument panel and install new Garmin avionics equipment in accordance with technical specifications and aviation standards.
• Assist with routing and securing wiring, terminating connections, and performing functional tests on installed equipment.
• Install Garmin engine instrumentation systems on two additional aircraft, including mounting and configuring interface boxes.
• Install and connect interface boxes to engine sensors to enable accurate data collection and display.
• Conduct equipment testing and verification to ensure proper operation of all installed avionics and engine instrumentation systems.
• Collaborate with other technicians to coordinate tasks, share technical information, and maintain project timelines.
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while working in hangars and around aircraft, tools, and equipment.

Required Skills

• Minimum of 4 years of hands-on avionics experience.
• Demonstrated experience with Garmin avionics components.
• Proficiency in routing, terminating, and testing avionics wiring and connections.

Work Environment
Work takes place primarily in non-climate-controlled hangars. The schedule runs Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., providing regular daytime hours.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of St. Louis, MO.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
