Job Description:

This position functions within the Outpatient Department to assist patients and medical staff within the ambulatory care setting responsible for the overall operation of the Clinic.

Responsibilities:

• Provide clinical services, including working with providers, clinic staff, and management to ensure excellent quality of care and services.
• Ensure efficient operation of all aspects of the clinic including the front desk and patient care.
• Maintain medication inventory and ensure necessary quality control checks are done with the Point of Care tests.
• Document all care and services provided in the clinic, completing nurse duties professionally and timely.
• Assist providers and other staff as needed, and communicate effectively with other departments to be an effective resource for patients, providers, and fellow clinic staff.

Requirements:

• Current full, unrestricted Registered Nursing license in Alaska or other U.S. state required; must have an active Alaska license at time of submittal.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• 2 years of primary care experience.
• Knowledge of nursing process, customer service, safety, and infection control principles.
• Skills in completing assessments, using equipment such as computers and medical equipment, and effective communication.
• Ability to multi-task, work independently, be a team-player, and problem-solve.
