Youngsville, LA: Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a  Production Machinist for a full-time, temp-to-permanent opportunity with a well-established manufacturing client. This position offers $18.00-$22.00/hour DOE , with overtime opportunities and the potential for excellent benefits upon permanent hire.

Schedule:

• Full-time
• Hours may vary (approximately 5:00 AM - 4:00 PM )
• Early morning start times may apply
• Overtime and Saturdays as needed

Essential Duties:

• Set up and operate CNC lathes and/or mills to machine metallic and non-metallic parts.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and sample parts to determine dimensions, tolerances, setup requirements, and machining sequences.
• Measure, mark, and identify reference points on materials for machining operations.
• Select, install, align, and secure fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, and accessories.
• Calculate and adjust machining parameters including speeds, feeds, coolant flow, depth of cut, and cutting angles.
• Monitor machine operations and make adjustments to maintain quality and dimensional accuracy.
• Perform in-process and final dimensional inspections to verify parts meet specifications.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and communicate with production personnel and supervisors to resolve manufacturing concerns.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and report equipment issues as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards.

Requirements/Skills:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Vocational machining training preferred or 2+ years of machining experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience operating CNC equipment such as:
• • Doosan
  • Hwacheon
  • Okuma
  • Mori Seiki
  • Puma
• Experience with  G-Code programming required.
• Conversational programming experience alone is not sufficient.
• Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills.
• Ability to use precision measuring instruments and perform dimensional inspections.
• Excellent mathematical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude.
• Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship.
• Experience working with mills and/or lathes required.
• Forklift and overhead crane experience is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

• Frequently stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and use hands throughout the shift.
• Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds .
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment around moving mechanical equipment.
• Ability to work in environments that may be warm, humid, or noisy.
• Must possess close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
