CNC Machinist

Overview

Location: Broussard, LA
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour (Based on Experience)
Shift: 1st Shift | Monday-Friday | 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Are you an experienced CNC Machinist who takes pride in producing quality, precision-machined parts? We're looking for a skilled professional to join our team in Broussard, LA. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a clean, climate-controlled shop with consistent hours, overtime opportunities, and competitive pay.

CNC machining experience is required. Applicants without relevant experience will not be considered.

Schedule
  • Monday-Friday
  • 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM
  • One-hour lunch break
  • Overtime and occasional Saturdays available during busy periods
Job Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate CNC lathes and mills to manufacture precision parts
  • Machine and repair valves and other oilfield components
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
  • Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments
  • Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as needed
  • Perform routine machine maintenance
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Follow all company safety and quality standards
Skills and Experience

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have experience with:
  • CNC machining in a manufacturing environment
  • Reading blueprints and technical drawings
  • Precision measuring tools including micrometers and calipers
  • Basic shop math and accurate measurements
  • Hand tools and machine setup
  • Industrial safety procedures
Preferred experience includes:
  • Mazak or Mazatrol controls
  • Program editing and machine offsets
  • Tool setup and insert changes
  • Threading and grooving operations
  • Quality control and inspection processes
  • Metalworking and machining terminology
