Enjoy competitive compensation and professional growth opportunities.Job DescriptionOverviewLead financial operations and reporting processes for a dynamic organization, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.Collaborate with executive management to provide strategic financial insights and support decision-making processes.Manage external and internal audits, ensuring accurate and timely reporting and adherence to SOX/COSO standards.Prepare and review quarterly and annual financial statements, including consolidation files and supporting schedules.Oversee the preparation of tax-related schedules, including Form 1120-REIT, and ensure compliance with tax regulations.Develop and maintain internal control documentation, including narratives and risk control assessments.Assist in preparing investor presentations and multi-year financial projections for management and the Board of Directors.Support executive management with ad-hoc financial projects and analyses as required.Key Responsibilities & DutiesPrepare monthly and quarterly financial close journal entries and related schedules for consolidated and unconsolidated properties.Assist in the preparation of quarterly Form 10Qs and annual Form 10Ks, including supporting schedules.Conduct purchase price allocation analysis for real estate investment acquisitions and prepare accounting memos.Prepare quarterly mortgage submissions, including property-level financial statements and rent rolls.Review and approve invoices and expenses for payment through Payscan, ensuring accuracy and compliance.Manage external and internal auditor requests and testing needs for financial reviews and compliance.Prepare quarterly debt covenant calculations and files for bank submissions.Research and document accounting treatments for new pronouncements and various accounting issues.Job RequirementsBachelor of Science (BS) in Accounting or related field required.Minimum of 6 years of accounting experience, with 8 years preferred.Strong knowledge of financial reporting, consolidation, and tax compliance processes.Experience with SOX/COSO standards and managing audit processes.Proficiency in preparing financial statements, projections, and investor presentations.Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities effectively.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with executive management and auditors.
