Financial Analyst

We are seeking a motivated FP&A Analyst to join our client's finance team. This role will support financial planning, business performance reporting, and strategic decision-making through financial modeling, KPI analysis, profitability assessments, and forecasting activities. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of finance, FP&A, accounting, or related analytical experience and possess strong Excel and data analysis skills. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning initiatives. Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement. Conduct profitability analysis by customer, product, service line, business unit, or market segment. Support the monthly forecasting process, annual budgeting cycle, and long-range planning efforts. Perform variance analysis comparing actual results to budget, forecast, and prior periods. Prepare financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for finance leadership and business stakeholders. Partner with cross-functional teams to gather data, understand business drivers, and provide actionable financial insights. Assist with ad hoc financial analysis, business cases, and special projects. Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, automate analyses, and enhance data accuracy. Support management decision-making through data-driven recommendations and financial insights. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field. 1-3 years of experience in FP&A, finance, accounting, business analysis, or a related analytical role. Strong financial modeling and analytical skills. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and financial modeling techniques. Experience working with large data sets and translating findings into meaningful business recommendations. Familiarity with budgeting, forecasting, KPI reporting, and variance analysis. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent communication and presentation abilities. Experience with Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or financial reporting systems is a plus. Preferred Skills Financial statement analysis. Dashboard development and reporting automation. Business partnering and stakeholder management. Understanding of profitability drivers and performance metrics. Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
