Accounting Supervisor

Accounting & Tax Supervisor ( Bilingual : English and Spanish) To be considered, candidates MUST be fully bilingual in English and Spanish and willing to work on-site at our headquarters in Aventura. Through bridge, construction, and investment loan programs, we support investors in acquiring, renovating, and building residential properties across key U.S. markets Position overview The Accounting & Tax Supervisor will oversee the day-to-day accounting operations for multiple entities while coordinating all tax-related activities with external CPA firms. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, timely month-end and year-end close processes, and reviewing tax filings prepared by external advisors. Key Responsibilities Accounting Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process. Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules. Prepare and analyze financial statements. Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and company accounting policies. Review balance sheet reconciliations and investigate unusual variances. Maintain the general ledger and chart of accounts. Assist intercompany reconciliations. Tax Coordination Coordinate all tax compliance activities with external CPA firms. Review tax returns prepared by external advisors before filing. Prepare tax work papers and supporting schedules. Review Forms 1065, Schedule K-1, Forms 1042-S, Forms 1099-NEC, and other information returns. Monitor tax filing deadlines and ensure timely compliance. Assist in responding to IRS and state tax notices. Leadership Coordinate daily accounting activities. Assist in training and mentoring accounting staff. Ensure deadlines are met across the accounting department. Collaborate with Finance, Operations, and external auditors. Preferred Experience Multi-entity organizations. Working with external auditors and tax advisors. Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail. Strong organizational Ability to manage multiple deadlines. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Experience with ERP systems, preferably Sage Intacct. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting . Bilingual (Native or high-level proficiency in both English and Spanish ) Active CPA license or CPA candidate preferred. 3–5 years of accounting experience. Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP . Experience with month-end and year-end close. Experience reviewing financial statements. Familiarity with Forms 1065, Schedule K-1, 1042-S, 1099-NEC, and 1099 reporting requirements. Experience coordinating with external CPA firms. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams) Experience with Sage Intacct or another ERP system is preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr
