Development Skills

• Essential: Web application development
• Preferred: Consumer‐facing web applications
• Essential: Spring Cloud or similar API gateways
• Essential: REST APIs
• Essential: Testing automation frameworks such as JUnit, Karma, Ruby, Cucumber, Java BDD, and accessibility testing tools
• Essential: MongoDB
• Preferred: PostgreSQL

Operational Skills

• Essential: Experience with logging technologies, log analysis, and reporting
• Preferred: Splunk, BigQuery, Grafana
• Essential: CI/CD technologies
• Preferred: GitHub Actions, Bamboo, Sonar, Black Duck, Veracode
• Essential: Containerized deployment
• Preferred: Experience deploying applications to cloud platforms such as GCP or AWS
• Nice to have: Performance testing and performance engineering experience

Soft Skills

• Demonstrates curiosity and continuous learning.
• Proven software design experience building applications capable of handling transaction volumes in the thousands per second while maintaining 99.999% availability and integrating with multiple internal and external applications.
• Proven experience solving problems in high‐stress and time‐critical situations, including production issues.

Domain Expertise

• Essential: Understanding of authentication protocols such as OAuth and SAML.
• Preferred: Experience developing identity and authentication solutions consumed by other applications.
• Nice to have: Understanding of NIST identity standards.
