Manufacturing Process Engineer / Operations Specialist Location: Portland Metro Area, OR Pay: $27–29/hr. This team values employees who are hands-on, collaborative, and excited to make a real impact on the production floor.They are currently seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer / Operations Specialist to support ongoing efforts focused on quality improvement, workflow efficiency, waste reduction, and process consistency across manufacturing operations.This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys problem solving, data analysis, process improvement, and working closely with production teams to create real operational change.What You’ll Do:Support ongoing manufacturing process improvement initiatives across production operationsWork closely with production, quality, and engineering teams to identify process inefficiencies and opportunities for improvementObserve workflows and assist in implementing Lean manufacturing initiativesPartner with the Production Manager to identify waste, downtime, process variation, and operational bottlenecksHelp develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency, consistency, and throughputCollect, track, and organize production data including:Cycle timesScrap ratesDowntimeThroughput metricsAnalyze trends and estimate the impact of operational improvementsCommunicate findings and recommendations to leadership and production teamsAssist with workflow standardization and process documentationSupport quality improvement and continuous improvement projects on the manufacturing floorMaintain a hands-on presence within operations and production environmentsWhat’s In It for You:Opportunity to make a direct impact on manufacturing operationsHands-on role with visibility to leadership and production teamsCollaborative environment focused on continuous improvementGreat opportunity for someone looking to grow within manufacturing operations or process engineeringStable company with long-term growth potentialWhat You Need to Have:Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilitiesInterest or experience in manufacturing process improvement and Lean principlesAbility to analyze production data and identify trendsStrong communication and teamwork skillsComfortable working directly on the production floor in a hands-on environmentAbility to balance observation, execution, and process support responsibilitiesProficiency with Microsoft Excel and data trackingDetail-oriented mindset with strong organizational skillsPreferred:Experience within manufacturing, production, engineering, or operations environmentsExposure to Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement methodologiesBackground in process engineering, mechanical systems, industrial operations, or chemistry-related manufacturingExperience collecting and analyzing production metricsAssociate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Chemistry, or related fieldExperience working with production teams to implement workflow improvementsThe Musts:We are looking for someone who enjoys being on the floor, solving problems, and making processes better. This is not a sit-behind-a-desk engineering role.
