Toddlers thrive with structure, exploration, and warm, responsive caregiving—and your classroom will provide the secure, joyful spaces they need to build confidence and independence.You will also:Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate curriculum focused on sensory exploration, early language, gross and fine motor development, and social-emotional growthFoster a consistent and comforting daily routine that supports toddlers' need for structure and securityEncourage independence through gentle guidance, responsive caregiving, and purposeful playCollaborate with fellow early childhood educators and school leadership to ensure alignment in instructional practices and care standardsCommunicate daily with parents through verbal updates, digital reports, and informal check-insMaintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment aligned with licensing standards and school policiesWhat We're Looking For12 semester (or 18 quarter) units in Early Childhood Education, including coursework in child development, curriculum, and family/communityExperience working with toddlers in a licensed child care setting preferredDeep patience, nurturing instincts, and a genuine love for toddlers and early learningStrong communication skills and the ability to connect with both children and familiesReliable, collaborative, and committed to high-quality care and educationTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
