Visa Direct is Visa's real-time money movement platform that enables financial institutions, fintech's, businesses, and governments to send and receive funds quickly and securely to eligible cards, accounts, wallets, and other endpoints around the world.

Visa Direct supports a broad range of consumer and commercial use cases, including person-to-person (P2P) payments, account-to-account transfers, merchant and marketplace payouts, gig-worker and earned wage access disbursements, insurance claim payments, loan disbursements, government benefit payments, real-time treasury and business payments, and cross-border remittances.

By enabling near real-time money movement, Visa Direct helps clients improve customer experiences, enhance cash flow, reduce reliance on legacy payment methods, and compete more effectively in an increasingly real-time payments ecosystem.

Responsibilities:

The Senior Manager, Visa Direct FI Sales will be responsible for driving Visa Direct growth through the acquisition, expansion, and management of financial institution relationships. This role will manage the sales lifecycle from client discovery and opportunity identification through solution development, commercial negotiations, implementation planning, and ongoing relationship management.

The successful candidate will work closely with Visa Account Executives and cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, develop client-specific money movement strategies, and help financial institutions accelerate adoption of Visa Direct solutions. The role requires strong relationship management skills, commercial acumen, and deep knowledge of the evolving payments landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Account Executives and cross-functional stakeholders to identify, prioritize, and pursue Visa Direct opportunities across regional and community financial institutions.
• Execute sales strategies and account plans designed to grow Visa Direct adoption and transaction volume among financial institutions.
• Consult with clients to understand strategic objectives, payment challenges, customer needs, and money movement priorities.
• Serve as a trusted advisor on payment trends, competitive dynamics, real-time payments, digital wallets, account-to-account solutions, and cross-border money movement.
• Develop and present compelling business cases, value propositions, and commercial recommendations that demonstrate the benefits of Visa Direct.
• Structure, negotiate, and support the closing of commercial opportunities while balancing client requirements, Visa objectives, and long-term partnership goals.
• Partner with product, finance, legal, risk, technology, marketing, and client services teams to advance opportunities and support successful client onboarding.
• Collaborate with processors, fintech's, payment enablers, and ecosystem partners to help deliver scalable money movement solutions.
• Maintain an active pipeline of opportunities, provide accurate forecasting, and support regional revenue and growth objectives.
• Identify opportunities to expand existing client relationships through additional Visa Direct capabilities, use cases, and payment flows.
• Present Visa Direct capabilities and recommendations to client stakeholders, industry events, and internal teams.
• Leverage market insights, client feedback, and competitive intelligence to help inform sales strategies and client engagement plans.

Visa requires at least 3 days in the office. Expectations for in-office attendance will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

• 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications

• 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
• 8-12 years of experience in payments, financial services, fintech, business development, strategic partnerships, product commercialization, sales, or relationship management.
• Strong understanding of domestic and cross-border payments, money movement, and payment networks, including RTP, FedNow, ACH, wires, FX, SWIFT, card-based payments, account-to-account payments, and digital payment platforms.
• Experience working with financial institutions, fintechs, processors, payment service providers, or other participants in the payments ecosystem.
• Demonstrated success developing, structuring, negotiating, and closing complex commercial opportunities.
• Knowledge of financial institution payment strategies across consumer banking, commercial banking, treasury management, wealth management, and digital channels.
• Strong communication, presentation, relationship management, and storytelling skills with the ability to communicate complex concepts effectively to client stakeholders.
• Ability to work effectively within a matrixed organization and collaborate across multiple business functions to achieve results.
• Experience building business cases, financial analyses, and value propositions that support commercial decision making.
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking, project management, and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-starter with strong intellectual curiosity, attention to detail, and passion for the future of real-time, digital, and cross-border money movement.
• Strong Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.

Information for US Applicants

For roles located in the US, the estimated salary range for this position is $207,600.00 to $ 332,300.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.

Travel Requirements

This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements

This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
