Start Date: September 21, 2026

Location: Wilmington, North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour night shifts; 36 or 48 hours per week accepted; every other weekend required; nurse-to-patient ratio 1:5-6

Highlights:

• Specialized unit caring for patients with severe bone, joint, and soft tissue injuries, traumatic brain injuries, spine injuries, and neurological trauma
• Epic documentation system with Pyxis medication management
• Comprehensive orientation including 12-hour unit orientation and 16-hour organizational education
• Floating to similar units and alternate care locations as needed
• Interdisciplinary team support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
• Contract may include assignment to storm team or hurricane team during catastrophic events

Requirements:

• Active RN license (North Carolina or Compact state license accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in acute care within the last 5 years
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
• Proficiency in heparin drips, PCA, colostomy care, feeding tube management, blood product administration, central and peripheral line care/management, phlebotomy, PICC line management, IV starts
• Experience with dysrhythmia management, oxygen protocol management, non-invasive airway management, isolation precautions/PPE, traumatic brain injury, ortho trauma, surgical drains, chest tubes, nasal cannula, oral suctioning, tracheostomy management, and wound care
• Comfortable managing 5-6 patients per shift
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• First-time travelers and local candidates accepted
