Location: Wilmington, North Carolina

Schedule: 12-hour day shifts, 36 or 48 hours per week; 1:5-6 nurse-to-patient ratio; weekend requirement of 12-16 shifts per contract; floating required as needed

Highlights:

• 13-20 week contract assignments available in a dynamic acute care environment
• Comprehensive patient population including Medical/Surgical and COVID isolation cases with diagnoses such as diabetes, pneumonia, COPD, sepsis, encephalopathy, GI bleed, and hip fractures
• Advanced skill utilization including telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, IV insulin protocols, wound vac management, chest tubes, BiPAP/CPAP, and high-flow oxygen therapy
• Epic EMR system with Pyxis medication dispensing and SBAR communication protocols
• 24 hours of unit orientation with comprehensive onboarding support including interdisciplinary teams such as IV therapy, respiratory services, rapid response, and pharmacy
• First-time travelers accepted; local candidates welcome with applicable rate adjustments

Requirements:

• Active RN license in North Carolina or Compact state licensure
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Medical/Surgical and Telemetry nursing experience
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV therapy, central and peripheral line management, and PICC line care
• Experience with isolation precautions, blood product administration, wound care, feeding tube management, colostomy care, and respiratory support equipment
• Must pass EKG competency testing prior to start date
• Ability and willingness to work during catastrophic events, mass casualty situations, or disaster response as part of Storm/Hurricane Team assignment
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
