Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical Neuro – North Carolina

Start Date: September 14, 2026

Location: Coastal North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants (rate differential applies for local candidates within 50 miles)

Schedule: 36 or 48 hours per week; 1:5-6 nurse-to-patient ratio; 12-16 weekend shifts per contract; manager-created schedule; float requirements apply

Highlights:

• 13 to 26-week contract assignments available with flexible contract lengths
• Neurosurgical procedures and neurological diagnoses patient population in a 36-bed unit
• Epic charting system with Pyxis medication management
• Two orientation shifts on unit following facility-based orientation
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and more
• Blocked scheduling may be accommodated based on individual requests

Requirements:

• Active North Carolina or Compact State RN license
• Minimum 2 years of recent nursing experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and CPI certifications preferred
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
• Experience with telemetry, stroke care (CVA), IV management, and peripheral line care preferred
• Epic charting system experience preferred; neuro experience strongly preferred
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)
• Willingness to float within facility as needed
• Ability to serve on Storm Team/Hurricane Team and report during catastrophic events or disasters
