Delivery Specialist

Compensation Pay Range: $15.00 - $22.00 per hour. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses and premiums may be paid in amounts ranging per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met. Role Overview The Delivery Specialist will maintain and operate store vehicles to deliver parts and/or products to professional customers in a safe and efficient manner. The position also involves collecting money on C.O.D. deliveries and picking up customer returns. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply. Essential Job Functions Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers safely. Use delivery fleet management hand‑held devices to process deliveries, capture signatures, update mileage, and complete daily vehicle inspections. Keep vehicles clean and maintained, performing daily inspections before operating. Secure delivery vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet credit cards, hand‑held devices, and collected monies at all times. Pick up customer returns (new, warranty, cores, etc.) and fill out driver return slips. Communicate any problems or special needs from customers to store management. Report vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or damage to the store manager immediately. Ensure the fuel tank is filled and lock and secure the vehicle at the end of the day's business. Clock in/out according to company policy. Perform additional duties as assigned, including customer service, sweeping, general stocking and straightening, merchandising, running errands, handling core returns, checking in stock orders, and other tasks as needed. Occasionally assist customers, serve as a cashier, and help with merchandising tasks when business dictates. Skills, Education, Knowledge, Experience, and Abilities Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences. Strong interpersonal communication skills. Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing delivery situations. Driving record that meets the company’s 14/18‑point record system. Valid state driver’s license and meeting company mandated driving eligibility requirements. Knowledge of automotive parts (desired). Ability to operate other light store equipment (desired).
