A leading regional healthcare system is seeking an experienced Blood Bank Medical Laboratory Technologist to join its transfusion services team. This organization serves a large patient population across the region and offers advanced inpatient, outpatient, surgical, and emergency care services. The blood bank laboratory plays a vital role in supporting trauma care, surgeries, oncology services, and critical patient needs while providing technologists with exposure to complex cases and advanced testing procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Perform blood bank and transfusion service testing procedures
• Conduct blood typing, antibody screening, crossmatching, and compatibility testing
• Prepare and issue blood products safely and accurately
• Maintain quality control and regulatory compliance standards
• Troubleshoot instrumentation and resolve testing discrepancies
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and laboratory teams to support patient care

Job Requirements

• ASCP certification preferred (MLS/MT/BB)
• Previous blood bank or hospital laboratory experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of transfusion medicine practices and laboratory procedures
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical setting
