Accounting Manager – Defense – Canton – Onsite A well‑established manufacturing company in Greater Boston is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead day‑to‑day accounting operations and financial reporting activities. This is a hands‑on leadership role overseeing accounting functions, including financial reporting, payroll accounting, general ledger, AP/AR, cost accounting, cash management, compliance, and audit support. Responsibilities Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting and analysis Oversee daily accounting operations and ensure accuracy across all financial processes Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling activities Support audits, tax filings, regulatory reporting, and compliance initiatives Develop and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls Supervise and mentor accounting staff while supporting long‑term team development Partner cross‑functionally to provide financial insights and operational support Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance 10+ years of accounting/finance experience with 5+ years in a leadership role Experience within manufacturing, defense, or related industries Proficiency with ERP systems, payroll systems, and Microsoft Office Strong analytical, leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills The expected salary range is $100K–$130K, depending on experience.
