Role Description The Accounting Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Novi, MI. This role oversees the day-to-day accounting operations, including managing the month-end close process, preparing and reviewing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements. The Accounting Manager will supervise accounting staff, review journal entries, reconcile accounts, and monitor fixed asset activity, including capitalization and depreciation. Responsibilities include supporting budgeting and forecasting, analyzing financial performance, and providing clear, data-driven insights to management. The role also involves improving accounting procedures, coordinating with internal and external auditors, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain accurate financial records and support strategic decision-making. Qualifications Strong proficiency in preparing and reviewing Financial Statements , with a solid understanding of GAAP or equivalent accounting standards. Demonstrated Analytical Skills to interpret financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations. Hands-on experience with Journal Entries (Accounting) , account reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance. Knowledge of Finance principles, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management. Experience managing Fixed Assets , including capitalization, depreciation, disposals, and related controls. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification is a plus. Previous experience in an accounting leadership or supervisory role, preferably in a manufacturing or automotive environment. Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems and Excel; ability to work accurately under deadlines and handle multiple priorities.
