Materials Manager

Would you like to be a part of a team that treats each other like family? you will be part of a close-knit team working out of the J. Ranck Electric, Mt Pleasant, Michigan warehouse. The Role This position is responsible for overseeing and managing the flow of materials and tools from initial request through delivery to the job site and eventual return or disposal. The role coordinates material and tool requests, pulls and labels materials, stages them for shipment, and ensures all incoming materials from vendors are accurately received, identified with the appropriate job numbers, and stored in the correct locations until needed. Working closely with the warehouse management, Prefab team, Purchasing, Project Managers, Foremen, and the Logistics Coordinator, this position ensures materials/tools are available, organized, and delivered on schedule to support project needs. Responsibilities also include overseeing the loading of materials onto trucks and trailers, managing the return of unused materials from job sites, coordinating vendor returns when feasible, and maintaining inventory accuracy through monthly cycle counts. In addition to warehouse and inventory management duties, the role provides leadership and supervision for the shipping and receiving team, ensuring daily operations are completed efficiently, safely, and in alignment with company objectives. The workday is Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m., with overtime available. Wage is dependent upon experience with a benefit package that includes medical, paid time off, paid training, company-match 401K, discretionary profit sharing and year-end bonus.
