Cable Technician

Our client is a leading fire, security, and communications integrator serving customers in enterprise, healthcare, education, government, data center, and retail. They design, install, service, and maintain fire alarm systems, critical communications, video surveillance, access control, and audiovisual technology, with a strong focus on safety, reliability, and service.


They are looking for a motivated Security Installation Technician to support security system installations on data center construction projects.


What You'll Do

• Help install and configure CCTV, access control, alarm, and related security systems.
• Pull, route, label, and organize low-voltage cabling (network, power, and video) to safety and quality standards.
• Mount devices, connect power and data, and perform initial power-ups.
• Install conduit and cable tray according to blueprints and specifications.
• Help troubleshoot installation, cabling, and connectivity issues.
• Work alongside electricians, network specialists, and other trades on site.
• Keep installation records, including cable routing, labeling, and installed devices.
• Follow all job site safety procedures and quality standards.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years of security system installation or low-voltage cabling experience
• Hands-on experience pulling cable and installing conduit
• Knowledge of pulling, routing, and terminating low-voltage cable
• Basic understanding of electrical safety, tools, and security system components
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record

• Low-voltage or security training or certifications (such as NICET or CompTIA Security+)
• New construction or data center experience
• Familiarity with CCTV, access control, and alarm systems
• Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and system designs
• Strong attention to detail, teamwork, and communication skills

• Lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs
• Work in construction environments, confined spaces, and at heights
