Medical/Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night Shift (3x12-Hour: 19:00 - 07:30)

The Medical/Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients in a telemetry unit. This role involves monitoring patient vitals, interpreting dysrhythmias, and managing any potential complications. Nurses will work collaboratively within a co-care/virtual nursing model, where bedside RNs are supported by virtual nurses for enhanced patient care.

• Monitor and assess patients in a telemetry setting.
• Administer medications and perform necessary nursing interventions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide high-quality patient care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the electronic health record system (Epic).
• Educate patients and their families about care plans and health management.
• Float to similar units as required to meet staffing needs.

• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience in a medical/surgical or telemetry setting.
• Active RN license in Alaska is required (or a pending application submitted within 48 hours).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Experience with remote monitoring systems is a plus.
