Introduction

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled professional to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in DevOps technologies, containerization, and scripting (particularly with Python and Shell), along with hands-on expertise in managing and deploying applications on Red Hat OpenShift and other container orchestration platforms. A key aspect of the role is familiarity with Horizon technologies for managing virtualized environments. The candidate will work closely with development and operations teams to improve deployment pipelines, optimize performance, and automate processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience in Red Hat OpenShift
• Proficient in Shell scripting and Python scripting
• Hands-on experience with Horizon technologies
• Solid understanding of CI/CD concepts and experience with Jenkins, GitLab CI, or other CI/CD tools

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Chef
• Knowledge of security best practices for DevOps and containerized environments
• Experience in Agile methodologies and working in an Agile team
• Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana) for performance monitoring and alerting
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain DevOps practices to automate and streamline the deployment of applications
• Manage and configure Red Hat OpenShift for container orchestration, including deployment, scaling, and monitoring of containers
• Develop and maintain scripts using Shell and Python to automate tasks and improve the efficiency of infrastructure management
• Work with Horizon technologies to manage and deploy virtualized infrastructure and applications
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support application development, testing, and production environments
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (development, operations, security) to identify and resolve system performance bottlenecks
• Ensure high availability, scalability, and reliability of systems
• Troubleshoot and debug issues across the development and production environments, ensuring that systems are running optimally
• Monitor system health, usage, and performance metrics, and recommend improvements based on the analysis
• Stay current with new technologies, best practices, and industry trends in DevOps and container management
