Season-to-season, this restaurant is operated by the same passionate team, out of the same remarkable space, but offers uniquely different dining experiences reflective of the beloved change of seasons in Minnesota.About the RoleBasic Purpose: Servers will be responsible for creating a memorable dining experience for guests and residents, providing exceptional and anticipatory service while showcasing a knowledgeable understanding of the menu and preparation methods.What you will do:Take guest orders and describe the selection of food & beverage menu items to guests by offering interesting and vivid descriptions of each item's, origin, taste, and preparation methodsCommunicate guest orders including any special needs or requests to the kitchen and bar using the hotel's point-of-sales system; coordinate food and beverage timingsCheck completed kitchen orders with the guest's original order and transport items to the guest table or lounge chair in a timely manner to ensure proper food qualityAnticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and offer suggestions, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requestsRead each table and adapt to the guest, creating a customized experience for a variety of local guests, international travelers, and building residents alikeProperly and accurately close guest checks; process cash and credit card payments; properly settle voided checks or complimentary mealsBreakdown, clean and set-up of tables and chairsWork harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisorsAssists with responsibilities and duties in the absence of or due to heavy volume in areas of Food & Beverage when neededWhat you bring:Experience working a minimum of 2-3 years in Food & Beverage and previous experience as a serverThrive working in a fast paced, and large team environmentAbility to be standing for up to 8 hours a day and ability to lift up to 50lbsKnowledge of Minneapolis and surrounding areas, highly desirable, however not requiredPreferred experience in a luxury hotel or resortMust be flexible with schedule - Able to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays shiftsAbility to carry and balance a trayAbility to accurately process cash and credit card transactionsAbility to multi-task in a high volume and demanding environmentStrong problem-solving skills, ability to handle difficult situations and guestsReading, writing and oral proficiency in the English languageTIPS & ServSafe certifiedWhat we offer:We care for our team members through competitive compensation packages and the following complimentary, market-leading benefits:Wage: $16.37 per hour + tipsComprehensive health and vision insuranceDiscovery nights at Four Seasons Properties around the globeHoliday and vacation payDaily meals inspired by award-winning chefsUniforms and uniform careSick pay, disability coverage and life insuranceWe also offer opportunities for career development and advancement and the following rewards in support of their work-life balance:Parking discountsStaff lounge and cafeteria space with city viewUp to eight weeks of parental leave payFur baby insurance401(k) retirement planDiscounted accommodations at Four Seasons properties worldwideDental coverage available at a discounted rate.Candidates must have valid work authorization for the U.S.Four Seasons is an Equal Opportunity, Affirmative Action employer.
