Job Description
An Autobody Technician is responsible for restoring damaged vehicles to their original condition by performing a variety of repair and maintenance tasks. This role primarily involves working on passenger cars, trucks, and SUVs. The technician works independently to ensure high-quality repairs while maintaining safety and efficiency within the shop environment.
Responsibilities
- Inspect vehicles to assess damage
- Perform body repairs including welding and frame straightening
- Prepare surfaces for painting and apply paint as needed
- Replace damaged parts with precision
- Ensure surface finishing meets quality standards
- Conduct quality control checks on completed repairs
- Maintain a safe and clean shop environment
- Perform regular maintenance on tools and equipment
