Job Description

Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a Machine Operator, where you will play a crucial role in operating and maintaining rainware roll former and slitter machines. You will ensure that machines are set up correctly, make necessary adjustments, and inspect parts using various measuring devices to guarantee quality production.

Responsibilities

• Operate rainware roll former and slitter machines efficiently.
• Set up and operate all functions of assigned machines and equipment.
• Adjust machine settings for different material thicknesses and work order requirements.
• Inspect parts using tape measures, scales, calipers, and computerized measuring devices.
• Read and complete production orders accurately.
• Perform secondary operations, such as cleaning, on manufactured parts as needed.
• Arrange parts for production and manage storage or production areas.
• Conduct basic preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment.
• Perform visual safety checks for machine wear, tooling damage, and safety guard positioning.
• Assist other machine operators and departments as required.
• Follow all safety regulations and maintain a clean work area, wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in machine operation and general labor.
• Experience in assembly and the use of hand tools.
• Knowledge of press brake, stamping press, and roll forming.
• Previous production experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to stand and reach with hands and arms.
• Capacity to walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl regularly.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds regularly, up to 45 pounds frequently, and up to 100 pounds occasionally with assistance.
• Skill in operating equipment safely.

Work Environment

The work environment is clean but can be loud, typical of a manufacturing setting. The position operates on a swing shift from 2:30 pm to 10 pm, with initial training on the day shift until the swing shift is established.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sacramento, CA.

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
