Position Details Position Title: Inventory Control Clerk College/Division: Administration and Finance Department: 500640-CENTRAL PROPERTY Location: Las Cruces, New Mexico, United States Appointment: Full-time (1.0 FTE) Salary: $16.83 per hour FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Work Schedule: Standard (M-F, 8-5) Bargaining Unit: AFSCME Job Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for all aspects of the NMSU inventory lifecycle from receiving to disposition of the inventory. Tag items received per NMSU requirements and ensure property is delivered. Work with NMSU departments to facilitate the disposition process of inventory, including transfer of property for reuse, sale for surplus, or disposal per NMSU policy. Assist in processing inventory forms during the annual inventory of property and receive surplus property transferred by departments. Facilitate sale of surplus and provide general assistance to NMSU departments during the inventory process. Maintain vehicle titles and registrations for all NMSU vehicles, track new registrations, distribute registrations and license plates, request duplicate titles or replacement plates, and ensure all paperwork is in order to facilitate vehicle disposal. Qualifications Required Education: High School diploma or higher degree. Preferred Qualifications: Not specified. Working Conditions and Physical Effort Environment: Moderate exposure to unusual elements such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises. Physical Effort: Moderate physical activity; lifting up to 25 pounds; standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day. Risk: Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, requiring basic safety precautions.
