Key Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations for patients across the lifespan, utilizing both standardized assessments and observational methods.
• Craft tailored treatment plans addressing both immediate objectives and broader communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
• Deliver one-on-one speech therapy sessions, focusing on enhancing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing abilities.
• Collaborate seamlessly with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to design integrated care plans.
• Provide education for patients and families to empower them in their rehabilitation journey outside of clinical visits.
• Participate in inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions as needed, ensuring a cohesive treatment experience.
• Keep meticulous records in alignment with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
• Pursue ongoing professional development through education and collaboration with peers.

Essential Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is required if not ASHA-certified.

Certifications Needed

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
