:

SALARY RANGE: $100,000 to $130,000, based upon experience, bonus opportunities plus full benefits (health insurance, 401k, PTO, gym membership, etc).

THE HIRING COMPANY: Real Equity Management (REM) is a privately owned design-build and property management firm based in Columbia, Missouri. For more than 20 years, we have fulfilled community needs by building a diverse commercial and residential real estate portfolio across the Midwest. Over the years, our portfolio has grown to include hotels, restaurants, mixed-use and market-rate communities, in addition to commercial and retail spaces. We remain focused on our plans for growth and currently have several exciting projects under construction and in queue including a 200 acre community called Discovery Park!

THE HOSPITALITY DIRECTOR POSITION: Discovery Park is looking to hire a Hospitality Director to oversee the daily operations of a collection of F&B concepts as well as oversee 3rd party management of our Hotel portfolio. You will spend a large majority of your time focusing on F&B operations of each concept to ensure the success of each business unit. Support of on-site management at each venue includes focus on; front of house, back of house, events and recreation. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in operating multi-site businesses, ensuring their operational efficiency, and driving revenue growth. This role requires a hands-on approach, with complete immersion into day to day activities.

HOSPITALITY DIRECTOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Take a "hands on" approach to oversight of our F&B portfolio, which currently includes Park Restaurant & The Kitchen Grill & Games.
• Oversee the 3rd party management of our hotel portfolio.
• Responsible for scheduling Department Managers to ensure that there is a leader-decision maker on-site at each business during all hours of operation.
• Provides on-site managers with consistent support, coaching and encouragement necessary to achieve business goals, enhance team performance and foster a positive work environment.
• Work closely with finance teams to develop and manage budgets for each business unit.
• Make informed decisions by analyzing financial reports and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and cost reduction.
• Visit each business unit daily, attend special events and support on-site Managers to ensure success of each business.
• Work with BOH Managers and Owners to regularly offer specials that would attract our ideal customer.
• Assist on-site Managers in establishing and achieving predetermined profit objectives and desired standards of quality food, service, cleanliness and promotions.
• Maintain awareness of F&B trends and cultivate creativity among food and beverage team members.
• Regularly review and evaluate the degree of customer satisfaction of the individual outlets and investigate and resolve food quality and service complaints.
• Collaborate with marketing teams to develop and implement promotional strategies to drive customer traffic.
• Monitor market trends and competition to identify opportunities for innovation.
• Assist with concept development initiatives for future F&B concepts including; menu planning, equipment/kitchen needs, staffing plan, etc.

HOSPITALITY DIRECTOR REQUIREMENTS:

• REQUIRED; BS degree in Business Administration; hospitality management or related field
• REQUIRED; Previous success managing multiple business concepts.
• REQUIRED; Enthusiasm for the restaurant/hospitality industry!
• REQUIRED; Acute financial management skills
• Familiarity with restaurant management software
• Strong leadership, motivational and people skills
