Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provides specialized nursing care to telemetry patients in a hospital setting, ensuring safe and effective monitoring of cardiac and other vital signs. Supervises and collaborates with healthcare team members to deliver comprehensive patient care according to established standards and protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Collect relevant patient data and continuously monitor cardiac rhythms and vital signs.
• Analyze assessment data to identify nursing diagnoses and develop appropriate care plans.
• Implement interventions, coordinate care delivery, and promote a safe, healing environment.
• Educate patients and families on their condition, treatment plan, and post-discharge instructions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure seamless patient care and discharge planning.
• Delegate tasks appropriately and supervise nursing staff to maintain high-quality care.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license in the state of practice.
• Demonstrate at least two years of recent acute care nursing experience, including telemetry.
• Maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Possess Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications from approved vendors.
• Have EPIC electronic health record system experience.
