Snapshot of Daily Duties: New inpatient consults, Inpatient follow-up visits Provide care to patients in the following settings: Routine follow-up visits in the office Urgent follow-up visits in the office Urgent and provider requested consults and new patient visits Communicate patient care activities to the physician (visit notes/test results). Participate in clinical continuous quality improvement activities. Collaborate with physicians in managing acute and long-term medical needs of patients. Order appropriate medication, laboratory, and diagnostic procedures. Administer medications and injections. Interview and advise patients regarding health and illness prevention. Recommend community resources to meet patient and family needs. Instruct patient and family regarding medications and treatment instructions. Provide patient education. Maintain and review patient’s records, charts, and other pertinent information. Triage patient telephone calls and provides consultation. Must Haves Registered Nursing license as well as degree level required by each state to obtain NP license. Graduate of an accredited program and board certified with prescriptive authority. Strong interpersonal skills are a must, knowledge of billing services is required, understands the various responsibilities physician/NP/Patient relationship. Successful completion of a Nurse Practitioner program with certification by a national Nurse Practitioner certification board. Three (3) years professional nursing experience in a clinic or hospital setting. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required, or Basic Life Support (BLS) required. #J-18808-Ljbffr
