Enterprise Information Display System (E-IDS) is a new system under development that will provide a modern auxiliary information display to Air Traffic Controllers in the National Airspace System (NAS). E-IDS will consolidate several legacy IDS systems into a common platform to provide controllers with current and consistent information needed to perform air traffic operations from both local and enterprise sources. E-IDS will use a common hardware and software platform across over 400 NAS facilities, including En Route, Terminal, Tower, and Offshore domains.

Description
Noblis is seeking Engineers to support the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Air Traffic Systems directorate within the Program Management Organization (PMO). Employees will provide IDS technical experience to assist the FAA in coordinating development and implementation activities with air traffic requirements and operations personnel
Responsibilities
Provide expert analysis to the FAA to support the development of site implementation and transition planning for National and Regional, Facilities and Equipment, and Capital Investment Plan projects.
Provide expert analysis to the FAA to help identify, analyze, coordinate, resolve, and report the resolution of implementation issues generated by Capital Investment Plan projects.
Coordinating support for required technical interchange meeting support and various program reviews.
Assisting with requirements verification and tracking for new En Route, Oceanic, and Terminal Air Traffic Control tools and systems.
Assisting E-IDS System Engineering in defining new Legacy IDS interfaces.
Assisting with identifying potential inconsistencies and usability issues as they relate to any ATC system changes.
System/ subsystem specifications analysis to ensure air traffic operational concerns are addressed and assuring all technical requirements are included.
Presenting recommendations/solutions related to short and long-term program planning requirements.
Demonstrate subject matter expertise in air traffic equipment, facilities, terminology and technology to business case and Investment, Planning, and Analysis teams.
Coordinating Local Data Administration activities including developing ATC and Technical operations display screens and the collection/uploading of local static information, e.g. Local procedures, Frequency lists, first responder information, etc.
Assisting in training requirements development.
Support troubleshooting of locally developed display screens.
Classifying and summarizing data for the preparation and submission of reports on a recurring basis.
Communicate complex knowledge of air traffic control to diverse audiences and in a manner that supports a wide range of analysis.
Interfacing with user teams, system engineers and other program personnel, as necessary.
Required Qualifications
Legacy IDS Technical understanding, system engineering, development, system integration and test experience.
Experience in building legacy IDS databases.
Experience in troubleshooting legacy IDS operational issues.
Acquisition and program management experience for FAA program offices or similar organizations is required for Level II and above positions.
Successfully pass an FAA background investigation/verification and receive a successful final suitability determination.
U.S. Citizen or Green Card Permanent Resident who has resided in the U.S. for 3+ years?
Ability to obtain FAA Suitability
Travel will vary per project. Must be able to travel as required by the project.
Educational and Experience Requirements
Work experience that is not relevant to the labor category definition will not be considered in the "Years of Relevant Experience" calculation.
Mid-level
- Minimum 10 years of System Engineering, Development and test experience with a BS degree in a technical area.

Compensation at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important, it's just one component of Noblis' total compensation package.
