Full responsibilities, required qualifications, and the apply link are listed in the description below.## Resume Keywords to IncludeMake sure these keywords appear in your resume to improve ATS scoringORBenefitsDayLifeBroadbandNetworkTechnicianIISign up free to auto-tailor your resume with all these keywords and get a higher ATS score## Job DescriptionA Day in the Life of the Broadband Network Technician II:* Detect, troubleshoot and resolve system outages in aerial and/or underground capacities related to transmission levels, signal losses and off-air interference.* Prepare and perform emergency aerial and/or underground coaxial cable restoration due to variables such as cable breaks and/or damage* Perform preventative maintenance (power supply, actives) in the form of testing, balancing, alignment and adjustments of components or equipment* Monitor, record and repair cable leakage, complying with applicable regulations* Observe and assist co-workers with fiber splicing activities* Complete and distribute required documentation, such as work orders and daily logs* Participation in a 24/7 on-call rotation* Other duties as assignedWhat You Bring to the Table:* Requirements/Qualifications* Education: High school diploma or equivalent* Experience: 2+ years (telecom technician)* Maintain satisfactory driving record and have a valid driver's license* Customer Service* Communication (verbal, written)* Basic Computer Skills* Aptitude to learn to skills* Problem solving* Time Management* Teamwork* Working alone* Ability to read and interpret maps* Bucket Certified; Ohm’s* Understand the Outside Plant* Knowledge of Hand or Power ToolsPhysical Requirements:* Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs* Work performed in both climate‐controlled and non‐climate‐controlled environments, with potential exposure to heat, cold, dust, damp conditions, uneven surfaces, heights, and moving vehicles* Prolonged standing, walking, sitting, and driving required* Ability to safely climb and work from ladders for extended periods of time* Frequent reaching, pushing, pulling, climbing stairs and ladders, and using hands above and below shoulder level* Ability to bend, twist, kneel, squat, crawl, and maintain various body positions and perform fine motor tasks, forceful gripping, and limited keyboardingWe're Proud to Offer a Comprehensive Benefits Package Including:* 401k retirement plan, with employer match* Insurance options including: medical, dental, vision, life and STD insurance* Paid Time Off/Vacation: Starting at 80 hours per year, and increases based on tenure with the organization* Floating Holiday: 40 hours per year* Paid Holidays: 7 days per year* Paid Sick Leave: Astound allows a number of paid sick hours per calendar year and varies based on state and/or local laws* Tuition reimbursement program* Employee discount program\*Benefits listed above are for regular full-time positionThe base salary in Maryland for this position is $20.11-$40.43 per hour plus opportunities for bonus, benefits and commission, if applicable. The base pay range represents the low and high end of the hiring range for this job. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to relevant skills, experience, and capabilities.
